Food distribution company supports immigration training school

Sucryza Distributors Limited has donated food items to the Ghana Immigration Service.

The items which include 200 bags of Dior Rice and 50 cartons of Happy Family Sugar were received at the Forecourt of the GIS National Headquarters.

According to the Marketing Director of VN Commodities Limited, a subsidiary of Sucryza Distributors Limited, Derrick Wilson; the gesture formed part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are hopeful that these items will help newly recruited trainees at the Training School”, Mr. Wilson added.

He said the donation was in reciprocity to the goodwill of the GIS towards foreign nationals.

Receiving the items in a short ceremony, the Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI) Kwame Asuah Takyi said the items would reduce feeding cost at the Immigration Service Academy and Training School (ISATS) and ensure a smooth training regime.

The CGI extended appreciation to the Company for the kind gesture and wished the Company and its staff the best of the season.

Also at the ceremony was the Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration in charge of Finance and Administration (DCGI – F&A) Mrs. Judith Dzokoto-Lomoh, Head of Administration, Deputy Commissioner of Immigration (DCOI) Maud A. Quianoo, and Head of Administration for Sucryza Distributors Limited, Mr. Solomon Awudza.
