GAF Warns Public Of Fake Recruitment Press Release

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has asked the public to disregard a fake recruitment press release circulating on social media.

The press release, which directs interested applicants to send a summary report to a fraudulent email address, has been deemed deceptive by GAF, in a press release dated June 29.

“Additionally, the fake document makes reference to a purported press release by the Finance Ministry to GAF about holding on recruitment of new officers across all sectors due to financial constraints on the part of the government”.

GAF wishes to inform and caution the general public to disregard the fake document on social media as it is not conducting enlistment or recruitment at the moment.

It added that interested applicants should strictly stick to GAF’s official channels of communication.

A few months ago, a similar fraudulent recruitment advertisement made rounds on social media, however, GAF rubbished it and said it was collaborating with other security services to track those responsible for it.
