Hearts of Oak’s failed experiment Yassan Ouatching released after no goal all season

Accra Hearts of Oak have parted ways with Yassan Ouatching, an underperforming striker from the Central African Republic.

The 24-year-old attacker joined the club at the start of the 2022/2023 season.

He failed to live up to expectations, leaving Hearts of Oak disappointed.

Ouatching struggled to find the back of the net in 12 league games, raising concerns about his ability to perform at the highest level.

The club took to social media to announce their decision, stating:

“Hearts of Oak mutually part ways with Yassan Ouatching. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Born in Douala, Cameroon, Ouatching’s career began in 2015 at UMS de Loum before moving on to Yong Sports Africa in 2017.

Seeking new opportunities, he ventured outside of Cameroon, joining the Myanmar National League team Zwekapin United in March 2019.

After two seasons there, he made a controversial move to Bangladesh.

During his brief stint in the Bangladeshi top flight, Ouatching managed to score a mere three goals and provide two assists in 12 appearances.

These underwhelming statistics have fueled the controversy surrounding his departure from Hearts of Oak, with critics claiming that the club should have done more thorough scouting before signing him.
