“I never got to say Goodbye”- Tears Flow As Funny Face Loses Father

Ghanaian comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng popularly known as Funny Face has lost his father, Oduro Boateng.

The comedian, affectionately called ‘the Children President’ took to social media to share the sad news of his father’s untimely passing on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

It is unclear what caused his death but the celebrated comedian has been left completely shattered and broken.

“I never got to say goodbye. This your death has hit me hard. You were gone before I knew it and only GOD knows why. Why did you leave SOO SOON?

“You have left us broken DAD. Till we meet again, REST IN PEACE DADDY 💔🙏🏾🕊 Continue to watch over me and my sisters…hmmm,” he said in a heartfelt message on his Instagram page.

Since the post, Clemento Suarez, Beverly Avaglo, Guru, AndyDosty and other colleagues in the entertainment industry have sympathised with the comedian and his family.

It will be recalled that earlier this year, Funny Face also lost his brother Clement Boateng at age 39.

Funny Face has had to deal with a lot of difficulties in his personal life in the past year, particularly relating to his relationships and mental health.

He had to spend a lot of time under psychiatric care and only recently returned to his normal jovial self.

The comedian rose to fame when he was featured in a popular television series known as “Chorkor Trotro” on TV3. Since then, Funny Face alias Children President has continued to entertain Ghanaians with his gift.
