Ignore News On Latest Transport Fares- GRTCC

The General Secretary for the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC), Mr. Emmanuel Ohene-Yeboah has entreated the general public to ignore the news circulating to the effect that there will be 30 per cent increment in transport fares,  effective 21st September, 2022. 

According to the General Secretary for the Council, a sister transport union acted unilaterally in the announcement to the public.

In an interview monitored by Ghana Report on Starr FM 103.5, Mr. Emmanuel Ohene-Yeboah made it clear to the general public that the Union is having series of discussions on the need to consider whether to increase the fares or not and if so to what extent in the wake of  the continuous hikes in fuel prices.
