Interior Minister Renews Curfew Hours For Saboba Township And Its Environs

The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery based on the Executive Instrument has renewed the curfew hours in the Saboba township and its environs in the Northern Region.

A statement issued by the Ministry states that the new curfew hours, starting from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am commences today, Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

The statement added that the government continues to urge Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them as well as to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.

The statement further announced other measures to ensure peace in the area.

It indicated that “There is a total ban on all persons in the afore-mentioned communities and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon and any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.”

The Ministry of Interior has promised of maintaining total peace in conflict zone areas in the Northern Region to facilitate development for its members.
