Source The Ghana Report

The Management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has cautioned the public against an SMS that is offering admission for the 2023/2024 academic year to applicants.

The message is also asking applicants to pay an amount of GH¢2,550 through a link.

KNUST in a statement, explained that it has not started processing applications from West African Senior High School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) holders.

“Processing of applications from holders of WASSCE will begin after the release of the 2023 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC),” the statement said.

The university insisted that the only official source of information regarding admissions is the university’s website and its official social media handles.

“The public is advised to take note and not to fall prey to such fraudulent activity/or fraudsters,” the university warned.
