Kuami Eugene Asked Me To Replicate His Hairstyle- Lookalike Claims

Steve Quamz, the lookalike of Kuami Eugene said he doesn’t have any problem with his hairstyle since the musician has his backing.

Steve who claims he has never met the ‘Angela’ hitmaker in person but has a very deep love for him revealed that there was a time Kuami Eugene asked all his fans to replicate his hairstyle and post videos of them.

According to him, he is not against Kuami Eugene as others claim.

“Kuami Eugene asked me to do his hairstyle. He did a video asking his lookalikes to replicate his new hairstyle. I was in a car returning from a program in Cape Coast and Robert (King Promise’s lookalike) showed it to me. So immediately I reached my destination, I called my hairstylists and told them to change my hairdo as Kuami Eugene has thrown a challenge to his lookalikes. So the next morning, I took a video which was a reply to his challenge,” he clarified.

Expressing how he felt about his celebrity lookalike, Steve Quamz indicated that he really loved the musician and was one of his biggest fans.

“I love Kwami Eugene. I do love him a lot. I am not obsessed with him. I love his music and his personality. I am a die-hard fan,” he shared in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on TV3.

He added that he will always be glad to be with him live on stage.

“If I meet him in person, I’ll give him a tight hug. I haven’t tried meeting him but I believe because I’m also an artist, one day we will meet on stage,” he stated.

When asked why his hair was the same as his celebrity lookalike, he explained that the Afrobeat singer challenged him in a viral video and he took it up.

He further added that he believed he was the original replica of Kuami Eugene, unlike the other lookalikes all over social media. He also said that though he doesn’t learn songs from the musician in question for a very long time, he is able to sing them within the shortest possible time.

“He has other lookalikes but I am the original and he can attest to that. I don’t study Kuami Eugene but the moment he releases a song and I hear it, automatically, I know how to sing it,” he added.

It will be recalled that when the cases of celebrity lookalikes started popping up on the media landscape, Kuami Eugene decried their actions.
