Kyeiwaa and I were chased out of Tema Station – Kumawood Actress Narrates

Source The Ghana Report

Ghanaian Kumawood actress Christiana Awuni has disclosed how she was disgracefully chased out of Tema Station together with Rose Mensah, known in showbiz as Kyeiwaa, as they planned to sell second-hand clothing to acquire extra income.

The Kumawood actress agreed with Kyeiwaa to add another business to their acting profession because the acting job wasn’t paying much.

Speaking on the embarrassing experience, Christiana Awuni said the traders decided to sack them from Tema Station because of their fame.

Explaining further, she pointed out that other second-hand clothing sellers thought their presence in the market would collapse their businesses since everyone would be interested in buying from the two celebrities.

“There was a day myself, and Rose Mensah (Kyeiwaa) went to sell ‘fos’ at Tema Station. The traders mocked and hooted at us. It was terrible. They chased us out, and we had to flee from the embarrassment”.

According to Christiana Awuni, “the traders tagged her and Kyeiwaa as greedy fellows who wanted to kick them out of their little business”, she noted in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Adom TV.

Christiana Awuni said the former Sunday drama series, Cantana, shot them into the limelight.

Cantata was a popular show aired on Sunday afternoons around 2 pm on Ghana Television (GTV) and was produced and directed by the late Nana Bosompra.

The two Kumawood actresses have starred in movies such as “Kyeiwaa”, “Megye wo Girl”, “Ogyam”, “Kyeiwaa vs Ninja”, “Akonoba”, “Cross Road”, “Abebrese” and others.
