A middle-aged has been allegedly killed, stripped and dumped at Ekumfi Esuehyia on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway in the Central Region.
Residents woke up to discover the lifeless body of the stranger by the roadside.
They suspect he may have been a victim of a hit-and-run accident.
A woman from the town who spoke to the media said they however found the name ‘Zibilla Mohamed’ written on his hand.
“We saw he was knocked by a vehicle with his head crashed. If anyone knows anyone by that name [Zibilla Mohammed], they should come and identify,” the woman said.
However, Assembly Member for Esuehyia-Kutukwaa Electoral Area, Patrick Forson said he cannot confirm whether the deceased was murdered by some unknown people or he was accidentally hit by a car.
The body has since been sent to the Saltpond Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation whilst the Police investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, the residents of Ekumfi Esuehyia said they have been struck by fear upon the gruesome discovery.
The police are yet to comment on the matter.
