Missing man found dead on his farm at Agogo

The body of a 28-year-old man was discovered on his farm in Agogo, Ashanti region, a day after his family reported him missing.

The man, only identified as Junior reportedly went to his farm on Friday, April 5, 2024, but did not return.

This prompted his family to report him missing to the police.

The police, together with Junior’s family launched a search for him.

Barely 24 hours after the search began,  the group found Junior lifeless in his plantain farm at Kowereso Mebome Electoral area near Agogo.

Meanwhile, members of the search party that discovered the body suspect foul play.

According to them, when the body was thoroughly searched, there were blood stains in his eyes and nose and both hands seemed to have been broken.

They added that the scene where the body was found showed signs of struggle indicating that perhaps he did not die a natural death.

Police in the area have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The body has since been deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

This comes after the lifeless body of a three-year-old girl was discovered after she had gone missing for three days at Dagombaline, within the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

According to reports, children playing football in the area stumbled on the body while retrieving their ball from a building housing police officers.

Labaran, a twin, had been missing since Thursday, April 4, until she was located dead days later.
