Mohammed Kudus dominates Ajax friendly win with two goals and assist
Ghana star Mohammed Kudus was unplayable in a friendly match on Monday in which Ajax claimed a convincing win.
The midfielder dominated the entertaining game as he scored two goals and created one for Ajax to brilliantly dispatch Heracles Almelo behind closed doors.
Both goals were superbly taken by the youngster before his stylish assist as he set up his teammates with a wonderful backheel pass.
The game was an opportunity to prove to Ajax manager Erik ten Hag that he is fully fit and ready for more minutes.
Since his return from a fractured rib, Kudus has played just 12 minutes, with 8 coming over the weekend in the club’s shock 2-1 defeat at Go Ahead Eagles.
With Monday’s breathtaking display, ten Hag may be forced to start Kudus in the next game which is against AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Cup semi-final.
Kudus return to action is good news Ghana also as the midfielder will be expected to play a key role in the 2022 World Cup play-off against Nigeria.
