Magdalene Araba Tagoe, a leading member of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) is dead.

The death of Araba Tagoe was announced by the Western Region Communications Director Mr. Richard Kirk Mensah of the NDC. It is unclear what could have caused her demise but sources say the stalwart for some time now has been indisposed.

According to Mr Mensah, the death of Araba Tagoe is a big blow to the NDC.

“Auntie Araba Tagoe, National Executive Committee(NEC) member of the National Democratic Congress has kicked the bucket. Very sad and a big blow to the NDC”, he indicated.

Magdalene Araba Tagoe often known as Araba Tagoe served as the Deputy Western Regional Women Organizer for the party for so many years.

She later contested as a member of the national executive council of the party and was serving in that position before her death.

NDC in July this year also lost one of its great supporters Madam Sherry Ayittey who once served as a Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development.

The party described the late Madam Sherry Ayittey as someone who was very hardworking and selfless.
