NDC Officially Endorses John Dumelo As Parliamentary Candidate For Ayawaso West Wuogon

The National Democratic Congress(NDC) at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has officially endorsed actor John Dumelo as their parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections.

The constituency chairman Bismark Aborbi-Ayitey in a statement dated August 13, stated that Mr Dumelo’s endorsement follows the acceptance of the other two party candidates for Mr Dumelo to go unopposed.

“Under further consultation with the party hierarchy and after engaging in constructive discussions with all the aspirants, we are pleased to inform the general public that the two other aspirants have graciously accepted to give the nod to Mr John Dumelo to represent the party”.

“As a result of this harmonious agreement, we proudly endorse and present Mr John Dumelo as the official NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency for the upcoming 2024 Parliamentary Elections,” the press statement indicated.

It will be recalled that Fred Nuamah, Mr Dumelo’s friend and best man, who wanted to contest the same seat, withdrew and declared support for his colleague on August 7.

The politician cum movie producer said he made the personal decision to withdraw from the race after having an extensive consultation with key stakeholders, without any external influence.

The constituency executives have extended their profound gratitude to Fred Nuamah and the other aspirant for demonstrating loyalty to the party and its values by making selfless decisions for the greater good of the NDC and the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

The executives called on all party members, supporters, constituents, and the public to rally behind John Dumelo and support his campaign wholeheartedly.

“Together, let us work towards the shared goal of securing victory for the NDC in Ayawaso West Wuogon and building the Ghana we want together,” the statement added.
