Nobody is a witch for criticizing the Akufo-Addo government – Mahama to Ursula

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama has taken a swipe at the Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful over media reportage claiming the sector minister had described Akufo-Addo critics as ‘witches’.

The sector minister has, however, denied the claim, insisting she was taken out of context.

But the NDC flag bearer, during a brief stopover at Sogakope in the Volta Region, said it is erroneous for Ghanaians to be tagged as witches when the Ghanaian populace are exercising their constitutional rights by putting the government on its toes.

He noted “All of you are hardworking Ghanaians and when you criticize your government it is not because you are witches,” the former Ghanaian leader told the crowd on his way back to Accra. ”

“Nobody is a witch, ” he further stressed.

He urged the general public to continue to criticize the government as doing this will always keep government on its toes.
