The Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has reaffirmed that members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) fully support the recent comments about the 2024 general elections made by the Minister for Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong.
Mr. Acheampong addressing party supporters at Mpraeso on Saturday said the ruling New Patriotic Party will never hand over power to the opposition NDC in 2025.
The comments by the Abetifi MP have been condemned by the Minority NDC with the opposition party calling for the arrest and prosecution of the MP.
However, in a post on social media, Mr. Annoh-Dompreh said the entire parliamentary caucus and the party as a whole agree with what Mr. Acheampong said.
“Leave Bryn alone. He said nothing new… The entire Party & the parliamentary Caucus is fully associated with him. The hypocrisy of our colleagues is just nauseating oftentimes,” the Nsawam Adoagyiri Member of Parliament tweeted.
