NPP Primaries: Supporters in Frederick Korankye T-Shirts sacked from polling station

Source The Ghana Report

Some supporters of Frederick Korankye, a parliamentary aspirant for the Wassa Amenfi East constituency, have been sacked from the polling centre.

The persons stormed the polling station in the aspirant’s branded T-shirts, clearly violating party election rules.

They were swiftly ejected from the area.

Their actions were deemed to be in direct contravention of the no-campaign directive on the voting day.

Despite the disruption, 1,136 expected delegates from 28 electoral areas have commenced voting in the NPP primaries for the Wassa Amenfi East Constituency.

The primaries feature three contestants: Frederick Korankye, a mineral engineer; Ernest Frimpong, a businessman; and Frederick Kumah, an economist.
