Paa Kwesi Fabin re-appointed Black Starlets head coach
The Ghana Football Association have reappointed veteran gaffer, Paa Kwesi Fabin as the new head coach of the national men under 17 team.
The announcement was made after previous coach Maxwell Konadu was upgraded to the Black Stars assistant coaching role following the appointment of Serbian Milovan Rajevac.
With this, the former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko leader will be coming in to enjoy his second spell with the Black Starlets, per multiple speculations in the local media.
The 62-year-old is expected to regroup the team and prepare them adequately for the upcoming qualifiers with the team being off from action since Ben Fokuo sent them to the WAFU Championship in Togo early this year where they suffered a group stage eviction.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin did an immense job in 2017 with the Black Starlets, who finished as runners up in Gabon in the CAF U-17 Nation’s Cup before reaching the quarter-final at the world stage in the same year in India.
His great sights for hunting talents in the country saw him introduced players like Emmanuel Toku, Bismark Terry Owusu, Sadiq Ibrahim etc all in the limelight including sensational Kudus Mohammed who has now risen to become a mainstay in the current Black Stars squad.
However, he also led the Ugandan U-17 national team to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which was held in Tanzania.
