Papa Owusu-Ankomah in “stable condition” after coronavirus infection

The health status of Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Papa Owusu-Ankomah, has not changed significantly after contracting coronavirus.

“We wish to inform you that indeed the High Commissioner has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and to assure all of you that he is in a stable condition,” the Commission stated in a release on Wednesday, April 15.

The statement further cautioned the public against “uninformed speculation” about the health of the former Member of Parliament for Sekondi.

Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK in intensive care for coronavirus

Mr Ankomah contracted the disease outside Ghana and is currently being treated at a health facility in London.

Musician Kwame A Plus has called on the Ghanaian government to fly Mr Ankomah home for treatment.

He is one of many politicians and government officials across the world who have contracted the disease.
