Pharmacist wins US$3000 Nescafé OneSong competition

A young Ghanaian pharmacist, Dr. Nana Adwoa Agyeibea Nyarko, popularly known as ‘Agyeibea’, has emerged winner of the Nescafé OneSong 2 Contest, a musical talent competition organized by Nescafé to provide a platform to unearth talent and reward creativity.

Out of over 200 entries for Ghana, Nana Adwoa came out tops by combining her unique singing ability and rap flair with composure, puns and rhymes.

Sharing her excitement during her visit to Nestlé Ghana Ltd. to receive her prize, Nana Adwoa noted that winning was a big surprise for her as she participated in the competition just for the love she has for making music.

“I took part in the challenge because I found it exciting to create music from scratch, based on an instrumental. Little did I know that I will emerge the winner. I am really excited, not just for the cash prize but also to know that people appreciate my style of music. I thank Nescafé for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent to Ghanaians.”

Marketing Manager for Coffee, Jean-Pierre Duplan, congratulating Nana Adwoa said: “Creating opportunities for talent to shine and inspiring creativity among generations of young adults in Ghana is something Nescafé strongly believes in.’

Congratulations to Agyeibea! Nescafé wishes her the best combining her pharmaceutical career with her love for making music.
