Police in Somanya are on a manhunt for eight robbers who attacked the SP Gas Filling station at Trom in the Yilo Krobo Municipality.
The armed assailants reportedly attacked pump attendants on Wednesday, October 11, around 7:30 p.m.
They subjected the attendants to severe beatings as they sought to extract information about the daily sales and the location of the safe.
They also destroyed the CCTV camera installed at the gas station before fleeing the scene.
The robbers bolted with an unspecified amount of cash before the police arrived on the scene.
The owner of the facility is currently assisting the police with their investigation.
Authorities have urged residents to come forward with any information that may aid in the apprehension of the suspects.
