Qatar 2022: Otto Addo to name Black Stars provisional squad next week
Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, is expected to name his provisional squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar by next week.
Per FIFA regulations, all 32 participating nations must submit a provisional list of 35-50 players ahead of the tournament, which will be cut down to 26 a week before the game.
Any player who fails to make the provisional list will technically be out of the squad for the Mundial in Qatar.
The 22nd edition of the world’s most prestigious football competition will be staged from November to December, with Qatar as the host.
Participating countries will begin camping in Qatar in the first week of November, while the tournament starts November 19, 2022.
Ghana has been paired in group H alongside South Korea, Uruguay and Portugal, who they will face in their opening group game.
