Rev. Obofour enstooled Chief in Accra, social media divided
Popular Ghanaian preacher, Rev Obofour, has been enstooled chief of Bortinor, a suburb in Accra.
The enstoolment ceremony took place over the weekend.
Born Francis Agyei Antwi, the leader and founder of the Anointed Palace Chapel after his enstoolment will be known as ‘Nii Adotey Gyata 1’
The news about his enstoolment sparked debate on social media as netizens raise concerns over why he {as a Christian would} accepted to be a traditional ruler which many associate with idolatry.
Some other users had issues with the fact that an Akan could be chief in a Ga community.
Many others, regardless of the displeasure have congratulated the benevolent preacher.
