Rihanna confirms new music release date

Taking to Instagram to promote the latest launch from her Fenty Beauty line, fans were quick to ask in the comments when new music can be expected. “2019” she swiftly replied.

2019 will mark three years since the Grammy winner released her most recent album, Anti, with the news of an ninth studio album, rumoured to be called R9, a welcome arrival for her legions of fans.

In stepping out of the spotlight musically, the 30-year-old has instead expanded her entrepreneurial portfolio with the highly successful launch of Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty lingerie, as well as star turns in 2018’s Ocean’s 8 and the soon-to-be-released Guava Island.
