Gospel Artist Ewura Abena has urged people facing serious depression to seek help from trusted relatives and others rather than committing suicide.

‘This Far’ hitmaker in an interview revealed that family and financial challenges weighed her down drastically and that made her very depressed and thoughts of committing suicide continued to drop in her mind.

According to her, a counselor advised her to inform the biological mother about the troubles hovering in her mind which she did.

Sadly, the mother joined the ancestors in the midst of her worse situation.

Ewura Abena who is currently educating people on depression management said there was some information she revealed to a trusted person which the person later disclosed to others” and that made her very worried.

She advised people battling with depression to always be careful with whom they share their cases since those people can sell them out in the end.

Speaking on motherly love to her children she said there are times you will need your own mother to encourage and strengthen you that child you are great and can achieve more.

Using herself as an example she said the mother used to tell her my daughter you have a very good voice and you sing so well. I’m proud of you.

Now that her mother is gone, “who is there to tell her she is beautiful, has a nice voice, and can sing so well?”, she quizzed.

After the demise of her mother, she managed to endure her loneliness until another social media user aggravated her plight by taking her most recent pictures to be that of a slay queen.

To Ewura Abena, the comments by the anonymous person were really hurting, thus she wanted to end her life to bring everything to an end.

“So I put a picture and someone came in and wrote, ‘So you’ve stopped the music and now you’re doing slay queen?’ It was a decent nice picture,” she noted in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Joy TV

Ewura Abena popped up in the entertainment industry with her songs ‘Agye Me Nkwa’, ‘Gyae Su’, ‘Mani Da So’, ‘Nokwarfo’, ‘Wo nwom nie’, ‘Meyi waye’, and ‘Kissed Away’ in 2019.

Throughout her absence, the talented gospel artist was going through difficult times.

During the interview, she encouraged people to always check up on their loved ones since others might be going through what she experienced.
