Ghana coach, Otto Addo, has assured that their primary objective is to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The 43-year-old made these remarks after announcing his 26-man squad for the upcoming games against Mali and Central African Republic.

The Black Stars after two games in Group I sit 4th with just three points having recorded a hard-fought win against Madagascar before a shocking defeat against Cormoros.

Ahead of the Matchday three and four games next month, Addo insists that despite their difficult start, the team’s objective is to secure qualification to the Mundial.

“Surely, we want to qualify for the World Cup, and that is the aim,” he told the press on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

“It is difficult with our current position, but in the end, we want to qualify,” he added.

The Black Stars will be hosted at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako on June 6 before hosting the Central African Republic on June 10 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
