Source The Ghana Report

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey made his debut in the 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League season as Arsenal faced off against Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners managed to draw 2-2 against the German side in the first leg of the quarterfinal contest.

Goals from Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead, but Bayern managed to secure a draw with former Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry getting on the score sheet.

Despite Bayern’s struggles in the Bundesliga, they put up a strong fight against Arsenal.

The Black Stars midfielder played for 10 minutes after replacing Kai Havertz, his time on the field saw him complete eight of 10 pass attempts, lost possession twice, and lost a ground duel.

Partey missed three group stage games due to groin and hamstring injuries, wasn’t included in the squad on two occasions, and was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s game against RC Lens in October 2023.
