Mohammed Ismail Sharif, known in the entertainment industry as Black Sherif, has revealed that he is ready to accept any outcome at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

To him, whether he wins the Artiste of the Year or not, he will still be grateful and thank the Almighty Allah (God) for how far he has gone.

Black Sherif was nominated for eight categories in this year’s VGMA.

He competes against Amerado, Sarkodie, Malcolm Nuna, and Medikal under the Hip Hop Artiste of the Year.

Black Sherif will also compete with musicians like Stonebwoy, DopeNation, King Promise, Wendy Shay, Kuami Eugene, KiDi and Fameye under the Best Afropop Song of the Year.

‘The Villain I Never Was’ by Black Sherif was nominated under the Record of the Year Category, and he believes in all the other nominations, he might win most of the awards, but whatever happens, he will gratefully.

“What was I even nominated in? If the Vilian I Never Was is nominated, we will win it under Album of the Year. Everything they put us in, we will take it,” he said confidently.

“If they give me, Alhamdullilah, if they don’t give me, Alhamdullilah,” he added in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Hitz FM.

Meanwhile, the presence of Vice President Kamala Harris of the United States in Ghana has been a blessing to Black Sherif as he was announced as one of the artistes in Kamala’s playlist on Spotify.
