The International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Ghana (BoG) held a joint press conference to reveal details of a US$3 billion bailout for Ghana.
The IMF’s Executive Board approved the programme for Ghana after a crunch meeting on May 17, 2023.
The facility will be extended across three years to help boost Ghana’s economy, and the first tranche of $600m is expected by next week.
