Rev Owusu Bempah was on Sunday, prevented from shaking hands with former President John Mahama.
Owusu Bempah seen as President Akufo-Addo ally has been very critical of Mahama and has made anti- Mahama prophesies in the past.
The two (Mr. Mahama and Rev Owusu Bempah)had been invited by the Holy Ghost Revival Center of the Assemblies of God Church, South Odorkor, to grace their 30th Anniversary.
The incident happened when Rev Bempah walked over to Mahama intending to shake his hands after he has sought permission to leave.
His attempt resulted in a near clash as Mahama’s body guard moved in to block his access, it took about five minutes to restore calm.
Amongst the dignitaries present were National Organizer of the NPP, Sammi Awuku, Hon. Joe Appiah, Fmr MP for Ablekuma North, General Treasurer of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, Rev. Dr Sam Ato Bentil, Regional Superintendent of the A/G in Greater Accra, District Pastors.
Mahama was at the church with the Constituency Executives of Ablekuma North and the Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC in the Ablekuma North Constituency.
