A 60-year-old woman has been stabbed to death at Sepe-Boukrom in the Ashanti Region.
The woman’s body was reportedly hidden in her bathroom after being killed on Monday, February 6, 2023.
The suspect, Koo Baah, 21, who lives opposite the residence of the deceased, entered her room and allegedly stabbed her multiple times.
The suspect was later seen holding a handgun and reportedly threatened anyone that came his way after the incident.
However, the fearless angry youth in the Buokrom Community arrested the suspect and handed him over to the Kumasi Airport Police Command.
The deceased’s co-tenants said they heard a loud cry from her room and later found her lifeless body in a pool of blood after they broke into the apartment.
“We heard the deceased, Maa Rose, shouting while mentioning the name Koo Baafi who happens to be an errand boy for her. So, we thought it was a routine call which she usually does, but we realized the deceased’s voice was fainting, so we rushed to her room on the last floor of the three-story building.
“When we got there, we saw blood stains all over the place, so we began following the blood stains and discovered the woman had been dragged to the bathroom by the suspect.
“We immediately called the police for assistance, but the woman was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.”
The deceased, Rose Gyaah, who recently returned from abroad, was said to have had a misunderstanding with the suspect a few weeks ago.
Police have conveyed the body of the deceased and deposited it at the morgue.
