Woman and 2 kids stabbed to death in their home at Kasoa

A mother and her two children have been stabbed to death in their home at Net Link Estate in Kasoa.

The mother, identified as Alberta Armah Hagan, and her daughters were found with multiple stab wounds on their bodies.

Out of four children, two have been confirmed dead, with the other two of Alberta’s children, nine months and six years, severely injured.

The 6-year-old boy is currently in critical condition under police protection in the hospital, fighting for his life.

The 9-month-old also suffered injuries but is receiving medical care.

The motive behind the brutal attack remains unclear, and the perpetrator is still at large.

The police have begun an investigation to unravel the mystery behind the horrific attack and bring the culprits to justice.

Stabbing incidences have become characteristic in recent times.

Below are some incidents.

A 28-year-old tricycle rider, Yaw Amoako, was stabbed to death after he tried to intervene in a fight at Akyem Dwaso in the Eastern Region.

According to reports, he was at home with his fiancee when he heard disturbances outside.

When he went outside to investigate, he discovered that a group of young men had attacked his neighbour.

He allegedly intervened and attempted to disperse them, but one of the attackers, identified as Nana Opoku, turned on him.

He stabbed him three times in the stomach, leading to his death.

Also, on Thursday, April 4, 2024, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications officer in Asante Mampong was stabbed to death by his wife.

The deceased, a 45-year-old identified as Osei Yaw Akoto, was stabbed while fighting with his wife.

Again, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, the lifeless body of a man stabbed by armed robbers was found near Goodness Filling Station at the Ashaiman main trotro station in the Greater Accra Region.

The victim was reported to be holding a bag with money and a phone when criminal gangs approached him.

A trader at the Ashaiman main trotro station, Yaw Kwakye, narrated that he heard some criminals attack the victim and demand the bag and other personal effects, but he resisted. In the ensuing struggle, the victim was allegedly stabbed in the stomach.
