2023 Club World Cup: FIFA confirms Jeddah as host city

FIFA has officially announced that the 2023 Club World Cup will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The decision comes after months of anticipation, as Saudi Arabia was named the host nation in February of this year.

The confirmation of Jeddah as the chosen city for the tournament came after a thorough inspection of its facilities, and FIFA has granted approval for all matches to be held there.

The Club World Cup will take place from December 12 to 22, showcasing seven top teams from around the world.

One of the main attractions of the tournament will be the participation of Manchester City, who secured their first-ever Champions League title earlier this month by defeating Inter Milan in the final.

This achievement has earned them a spot in the Club World Cup, marking their inaugural appearance in the prestigious competition.

As part of the tournament, the Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Ittihad, will enjoy the advantage of playing on their home turf.

Al-Ittihad, having recently bolstered their squad with the acquisitions of renowned footballers Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante, will be looking to make the most of this opportunity to shine in front of their passionate supporters.

In addition to Manchester City and Al-Ittihad, the other confirmed participants in the 2023 Club World Cup are Al-Ahly, Leon, Urawa Red Diamonds, and Auckland City.
