A-Plus requests procurement information on 307 ambulances

A President Akufo-Addo loyalist turned critic, Kwame Asare Obeng, has written to the Ministry for Special Development Initiatives requesting for information on the procurement of 307 ambulances.

The request, a copy which is available to theghanareport.com, was signed by a private legal practitioner, Nii Kpakpo Samoa Addo from A and A Legal Attorneys.

The 307 buses were commissioned by the President amidst huge funfair at the Independence Square on January 28, 2019.

Asare Obeng popularly known as A-Plus has, by the letter,  exercised new opportunities for greater public accountability following the passage of the Right to Information law in 2019.

The Ashaiman MP, Ernest Henry Norgbey, has also tested the law’s implementation after he requested from the Electoral Commission, information on the procurement of some consultancy services.
