Former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC) Koku Anyidoho, on Monday, refused to answer a question on whether the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government should be voted out in 2020.

In an interview on Accra-based Starr FM, Mr Anyidoho said he is now a political consultant and as such cannot make certain statements.

For many political connoisseurs, Mr Anyidoho’s closed lips on this issue is not surprising.

As Director of Communications in the Mills administration (2009-2012),  he was one of the strong men alleged to have blocked former President John Dramani Mahama from functioning effectively as Vice President.

Such was the frustration that Mr Mahama considered resigning, according to Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni’s book, The Fourth John.

His decision to resign as Ghana’s Vice-President was as a result of endless frustration he suffered at the hands of some presidential staffers and ministers of state in the President Mills administration.

A cursory analysis of Mr Anyidoho’s political commentary also shows the former NDC Deputy General Secretary became politically docile ever since he was arrested by the police after predicting the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be overthrown in March 2018.

It got worse when he lost the General Secretary contest to Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the party’s incumbent General Secretary in November 2018.
