First of all, I don’t know if most of the people commenting here live in Ghana. If u do, u will know driving around Circle and a whole lot of areas in Accra and Kumasi in the night that there are a lot of unfortunate homeless people. Now we as a nation should understand that not everyone in this lockdown areas have a place to lock themselves or the money to stock up on food.
Now for the shooting, I watched an eye witness interview. Narcotics arrested have nothing to do with beating a person with a stick or putting a gun in a human being throat and killing him like an animal. We as people should have the ethics to care for the poor and vulnerable in our society instead of wasting them away. You should come to the west and see what is being done to help people in this lockdown and hard times. Let’s not make excuses for our military and politicians but instead hold them responsible.

      You are very stupid

What’s with this Coronavirus in Ghana
      Some Ghanaians are so dumb
There’s no COVID-19 here and the political parties are using our name to obtain huge dunes of money from various institutions and organisations.
Why do you think the lockdown is over now that their claiming there COVID-19 cases are going up.

  6. Anonymous says

These security personnels are over enforcing this lockdown thing. 3de3n ? Ah!! beating and bullying citizens here and there forgetting they are also common citizens like us without their uniforms.. Abi the guy is dead ah

I wish nana addo,s family member is shot dead
Why did he put our lives in danger with these trigger happy fools

    1. SK says

The government have to promote this military man. I have realized that nowadays most people want to take the military for granted. We should know that they have devoted their live for us. Most Ghanaians become so happy whenever a video come out and a military personnel is being beaten sometimes to death. If this passed away man was able to disarmed the soldier, you people will talk against it. THE ONLY THING MOST PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR IS THAT, A SOLDIER IS BEATEN AND KILLED.

  8. Akanyange says

The Guinean COVID-19 patient who escaped at Tamale should have rather been shot dead by now! She was moving with a biological weapon that for sure she has shot more than 10 people by now. Instead, we chose to send her to a luxurious apartment for self isolation whilst the other 10 people that she might have shot them move around shooting 10 people each and it goes on and on.

So what type of democracy are we practicing? Democracy that chooses to shoot and kill civilians having narcotics in their possession but spares stupid foreigners carrying biological weapons around!

I mean, come to think of Ghanaians who have killed in the diaspora apparently for stupid reasons. What didn’t happen in The Gambia and Libya?

I sometimes look worried how the kind of democracy we are practicing is stabbing us at the back!

    2. FREDDY says

YOUR WORDS SOUND LIKE SUGAR BUT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE. LET ME TELL U MY DEAR THAT PERSON WHO ESCAPED CANNOT BE FOUND AND WHEN HE IS FOUND WE HAVE TO TEST AND FIND OUT HE HAS THE VIRUS U CANT JUST KILL PEOPLE ANY HOW. WHY DO WE FORGET SOO SOON WHAT CIVILIANS DID TO MAJOR MAHAMA WHEN HE COULD NOT DEFEND HIMSELF

Enforcing the lockdown directives also include searching for narcotics substance?

    1. Anonymous says

Fact that we are under lockdown doesn’t mean anyone can do narcotics and go freely.
His problem was he tried to disarm the soldier man and no soldier will let you disarm him hw3. Next time they’ll respect the police and military

    2. Anonymous says

I hope you will call for help from these security personnel during the lockdown

    3. FREDDY says

YES. HE WHO SELL ANY OTHER THING OTHER THAN FOOD AND MEDICINE IS ASKED TO STAY HOME HOW MUCH MORE NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE. OR U USE NARCOTIC IF I MAY ASK?

I’m npp but very disappointed. According to eye witness on JOY NEWS the guy didn’t try disarming the military man. He hit the poor guy with a stick and later received orders to shoot the guy.lets not judge by only believing the army one sided statement.lets care for our fellow ghanaians because we could also be shot and a gun placed by our body just to cover up. educated people making comments should be slow to accept a one sided statement after such incidents.
