Dead body found in front of shop at Kasoa

The lifeless body of a woman believed to be in her 40s has been found in front of a shop at Kasoa-Kaemebre junction in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.

According to reports, the deceased was found with blood flowing from her nostrils and mouth and lying motionless beside her phone.

The incident was immediately reported to the Awutu Senya police.

Police personnel rushed to the scene and conveyed the body to the morgue for further investigation.

The Assembly member for Kasoa Kaemebre Downtown electoral area, Francis Obeng Twumasi, expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.

He noted that the deceased appeared to be of sound mind, leaving the community in shock and disbelief over her gruesome death.

The police have assured the residents of thorough investigations to uncover her identity and the circumstances leading to her death.

Such cases have become rampant in recent times.

Previous Incidences

On February 22, 2024, it was reported that an unidentified man believed to be in his 70s was found dead along the Mankessim to Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region.

The old man was found on Wednesday morning by some residents of Volta Bar, a suburb of Mankessim.

According to residents, they woke up on Wednesday morning only to see the lifeless body of the deceased at the roadside.

Also in the early hours of Saturday, February 17, the lifeless body of a young man was discovered at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Residents were uncertain about the details surrounding the occurrence, but some have suggested that the deceased might have been a thief who was lynched and then dumped in their area.

Again, on Monday, February 5, 2024, the morning show host on New Day TV, Michael Osei, also known as Nana Yaw Osei Tenkorang, was found dead in his room in Takoradi.

Nana Yaw Osei Tenkorang didn’t show up to work on Monday, February 5. Several calls to him went unanswered, which was not characteristic of him according to his colleagues; hence, some people decided to go and check up on him at his residence.

His room was eventually opened with the help of others, only to find him unresponsive on his bed.

On February 5, 2024, an unidentified woman was discovered dead with parts of her body severed and partially clothed, near the Otorkporlu Bridge, off the Odumase-Asesewa highway in the Eastern Region.

The grim discovery, made by members of the Otorkporlu community, revealed that the victim had been subjected to some level of torture, including the severing of her tongue and private parts.
