A flagbearer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has called on the party to postpone its upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Dr Duffuor’s call follows some discrepancies his team has identified in the party’s voters register to be used for the exercise.
In a letter to the General Secretary of the NDC on Monday, May 8, Dr Duffuor’s campaign team highlighted the incomplete and inaccurate delegates register and urged for sufficient time to clean the register to ensure a transparent election.
Dr Duffuor had earlier complained about not having received the party’s voters register a few days to the primaries.
After making his grievances known to the party, the voters register was given to him.
However, he said upon conducting a preliminary analysis of the information provided, the campaign team discovered what they deemed to be excessive anomalies within the register.
