EC commences transfer of votes for district assembly election candidates
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the commencement of an exercise for the transfer of votes for candidates who will be contesting the District Level and Unit Committee elections in Electoral Areas (EAs) other than where they registered initially.
A statement released and signed by Sylvia Annoh on Friday said the exercise is opened to such candidates from Friday August 23, 2019 to Wednesday August 28, 2019.
The electoral body directed all aspiring candidates who wish to transfer their votes to contact the District Offices of the Commission.
The EC is scheduled to hold District Level and Unit Committee elections across the country later in the year.
