GFA moves Women’s FA Cup semis games from Bremang Astro Turf to Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has changed the venue of the upcoming semi-final round matches of the 2022/23 Women’s FA Cup.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the GFA has confirmed that the matches will now take place on Saturday, June 10 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.

The decision to change the date, venue, and kickoff times for the semi-finals was prompted by adverse conditions at the Bremang AstroTurf, the original location for the matches.

The GFA, prioritizing player safety and the overall quality of play, took swift action to ensure a more suitable environment for the highly anticipated clashes.

The action-packed day of women’s football will kick off with an intriguing encounter between Police Ladies and Pearlpia Ladies FC, set to commence at 10:00 am local time.

Following the first match, at 4:00pm, the second semi-final will feature Army Ladies taking on Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

All clubs and stakeholders involved in the Women’s FA Cup have been urged by the GFA to take note of these changes and act accordingly.
