Ghana defender Alexander Djiku set for medical at Fenerbache Today
Ghana international Alexander Djiku is likely to undergo medical on Today, July 10, 2023, ahead of his move to Turkish giants, Fenerbache.
The Black Stars defender is set to seal a move to Fenerbache as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Ligue 1 club, Strasbourg last month.
Fenerbache have beat off competitions from several suitors and are close to securing his services this window.
Djiku was a transfer target for several clubs including, Besiktas, Lille, Nottingham Forest, Mainz 05 and others.
Strasbourg were also keen to keep the defender whose contract expired at the club at the end of the season but the Black Stars defender declined extension.
According to reports, Djiku will have his mandatory medical today before he put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
The tough-tackling defender will receive €1.5m sign-on fee and €1.7m annual salary at Fenerbache.
He made 31 appearances for Strasbourg last season, helping the club to survive relegation at the end of the campaign.
