Ghana defender Baba Rahman set for Chelsea return to determine future
Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman has been relegated with Reading FC from the English Championship.
The full-back returned to the club in the summer of 2022 for a second loan spell after a successful one the previous season.
Unfortunately, the campaign in the 2022/23 English Championship did not go as planned.
Reading after struggling to compete throughout the campaign has been relegated from the division with one game left to be played.
For Baba Abdul Rahman, the team could not help much due to several injury setbacks that troubled the defender.
This season, he only played in 18 matches in the English Championship, failing to assist or score for the team.
It is unlikely that the injured left-back will play any part in Reading’s final game of the season against Huddersfield.
At the end of the season, the Black Stars player is returning to Chelsea where the club will determine his future.
Sources report that the Blues will look to transfer Baba Rahman permanently away from the club.
