Ghana’s football legends were disgraced at 2012 CAF Awards in Ghana – Mohammed Polo
Hearts of Oak icon Mohammed Polo says they were not recognised when the 2012 Confederation of African Football (CAF) award ceremony was held in Ghana.
He claims the then Ghana Football Association (GFA) leadership had much preference for others and didn’t honour its legends.
Polo is livid that only Ibrahim Sunday was recognised at the event.
“We attended the awards ceremony in 2012 in Ghana, but we were not recognised. We thought they would introduce us to the crowd because we were the legends in the system, but it was only Ibrahim Sunday that was introduced. They didn’t recognize us.
“It is happening in Ghana you have to introduce your legends. It looked like we were not there. We were disgraced at the event.”
