Medeama and Dreams FC Ghana Premier League opening games postponed

The Ghana Football Association has postponed Medeama and Dreams FC’s Ghana Premier League opening games due to their involvement in the Africa inter-club competitions.

Both Medeama and Dreams FC are into the second round of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup after edging out their opponents in the first round of the qualifications.

The Yellow and Mauves are participating in the Champions League whiles the Still Believe lads compete in the Confederations Cup.

Medeama and Dreams FC were scheduled to face Accra Lions and Nations FC respectively in the opening day of the domestic top-flight but their games have been postponed by the Ghana FA to allow them prepare for Africa campaign.

Their games have collided with the start of the Ghana Premier League, hence the decision to postpone their games to Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Medeama will face Guinean giants Horoya AC. The first leg of this crucial match is scheduled for Sunday, September 17, with the return leg taking place the following weekend.

Dreams FC will take on Sierra Leone side F.C. Kallon, with a similar schedule to Medeama’s.
