The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) has clarified that the appointment of one Abena Amoah as co-chair of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s Manifesto Committee is not their Managing Director.
A press statement from Dr. Bawumia’s campaign team listed individuals on the Manifesto Committee, including one Abena Amoah appointed as co-chair of the Committee on Economy.
However, the GSE emphasized that the ‘Ms. Abena Amoah’ mentioned in the press release is not their Managing Director and that she was not approached or involved in the committee in any capacity.
The GSE’s full statement reiterated that their Managing Director, Abena Amoah, was not consulted or engaged by the Campaign Team regarding the committee.
The GSE further affirmed its apolitical stance and commitment to fulfilling its mandate of providing a robust platform for capital raising and investment, assuring stakeholders of its continued dedication to economic prosperity.
