Hearts drawn against Algerian side JS Saoura in the CAF Confederation Cup

Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have drawn Algerian giants Jeunesse Sportive de la Saoura in the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs.

The Phobians dropped to CAF’s second-tier competition after a disastrous showing against Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club in the CAF Champions League.

The Rainbow boys suffered a 6-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of the Moroccan giants in a two-leg fixture.

Hearts will be looking to make amends in the Confederation Cup and will have to beat JS Saoura to make it happen and secure advancement to the group stages of the competition.

They host their Algerian counterpart in the first leg in Accra scheduled for November 28, 2021 and then travel to Algeria for the return leg on December 5, 2021.

Hearts won the maiden edition of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2004, after beating arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the final.
