The state burial for the former First Lady, Theresa Aba Kufuor, is being held at the forecourt of the State House today, Thursday, November 16, 2023.
The service started at 7 a.m. with a file past, followed by a burial mass at 9 a.m.
The final funeral rite will be performed for the former First Lady at Heroes Park in Kumasi on Saturday, November 18.
She will be given a private burial.
Mrs Kufour died at her home in Peduase on Sunday, October 1, at the age of 87.
A Requiem Mass was held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in honour of the late former First Lady, Theresa Kufuor.
Thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at St. Peter’s Basilica, Kumasi, at 10:00 a.m.
Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor is survived by her husband, H.E John Agyekum Kufuor (Former President of the Republic of Ghana), and five children: J. Addo Kufuor, Nana Ama Gyamfi, Saah Kufuor, Agyekum Kufuor, and Owusu Afriyie Kufuor.
Kufuor and his late wife are also blessed with 14 grandchildren.
