Theresa Lardi Awuni wins Okaikoi North NDC primaries; promises victory for 2020

Theresa Lardi Awuni, a three-time Constituency Women’s Organizer of Okaikoi North Constituency was on Saturday  declared the winner of the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary primaries.

Madam Awuni secured 342 votes followed by Mr. Quashie with 220, Mr. Nasiru 179 and Mr. Malik 12 thus becoming the candidate for Okaikoi North Constituency going into the 2020 elections.

Thanking the delegates after the election, Madam Awuni was optimistic she was  marching to victory for the NDC in 2020.

“I have spoken to my brothers – Hon. Richard Kwarshie Kudjordjie, Hon. Abdul Nasiru Abass and Hon. Malik Adama this morning, with unity of purpose and in the spirit of comradeship, we are marching to victory in 2020.”

OKAIKOI NORTH – NDC WINS, READY FOR VICTORY 2020

Resounding appreciation to God Almighty for this victory.

I want to thank delegates of Okaikoi North Constituency – NDC, for honoring me with your vote.

I am deeply moved by the expression of confidence from all the branches, and I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To my family, friends, advisors, loyal supporters, well-wishers and many volunteers who came forward to assist with my campaign, I say a big thank you! We couldn’t have succeeded without you. Many of you spent hundreds of minutes contributing to the campaign and I sincerely thank each of you.

To my able brothers & comrades – Hon. Richard Kwarshie Kudjordjie, Hon. Abdul Nasiru Abass and Hon. Malik Adama, I’m honoured and humbled to have shared the same platform with you, you are all true sportsmen who are committed to the growth of the party, God bless you all.
