I got my music talent inspiration from Kofi Kinaata-Lasmid
Ghanaian musician, Lasmid Owusu Nathaniel known in showbiz as Lasmid has revealed that artiste Kofi Kinaata motivated him to do music.
Lasmid added that he released a song titled ‘OdO Brass Band’ in 2019 featuring Kofi Kinaata due to the love he has for him.
Another musician Lasmid claims to be an inspiration to him in the music industry is Stonebwoy.
“I really like Kofi Kinaata and I like Stonebwoy too. They all have different vibes and I feel all of them,” he declared.
Revealing how he got into the industry, the ‘Friday Night’ hitmaker revealed that Kofi Kinaata’s artistry became a guiding light that emboldened him to chase his musical dreams.
“Before I came into the music industry, I looked up to Kofi Kinaata. He motivated me to do music,” he disclosed.
Lasmid has now become a household name as his music now transcends beyond the shores of Ghana.
During the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Lasmid won the Best Hiplife Song and Best New Artiste of the Year.
Aside from ‘Friday Night’ and ‘Odo Brassband’, Lasmid is known for songs like ‘This That’, ‘Atele’, ‘Sika’ , ‘Father’, and ‘Medula’.
