Low wages will be a thing of the past – Alan’s May Day Message

The Presidential Candidate of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, ARC, Alan Kyerematen, has assured organized labour of the commitment of the alliance to improving working conditions in Ghana.

While congratulating workers for their sweat which cures most of the difficulties the nation encounters, he warmly assured workers of his desire to initiate and apply a policy that would permanently address issues such as low wages, unsafe working conditions, and lack of social protection.

A statement issued by the former Trade and Industry Minister indicates that the Alliance would speedily move to tackle the challenges of workers made worse by the present economic downturn.

Alan, whose Movement for Change joined hands with other parties to form the Alliance, is avowed to the use Workers’ Manifesto to provide an accurate response to their needs.

He also urged all Ghanaians to uphold the tenets of patriotism and work towards unity in tackling common national problems.

Alan is credited with the concept of Friday wear in the workplace. It emphasizes the need for Ghanaian workers to wear indigenous attires to boost their relevance and marketability. The concept is holding.
